Have enough food. Be sure to bring “back up food” that would complement your meals in case the crew is hungrier than expected. It defeats the purpose if you end up having to swing through the drive through because you under planned. I always make sure it is something inexpensive. If we do not eat all of the back-up food, I am not too dismayed to discard it. Snacks are good, but make sure they are healthy. Fruit and veggies are good choices. Empty calories, like potato chips or pretzels, can cause mindless eating that will badly derail the plans! Sourdough Blueberry Granola Bars are the perfect make-ahead “snack” recipe.
