Super easy, really yummy the Grilled Cheese Fig and Caramelized Onions is an easy comforting meal to enjoy on a busy weeknight. On wheat bread the fiber will keep you full. The figs add a sweetness. Using a quality cheese allows you to add less cheese lightening up this sandwich. Caramelized onions (in oil not butter) are not only tasty but serves as an inflammation reducer. Onions are simply perfect to pair with cheese which can be inflammatory for many of us. Since fig season is around the corner, I see a grilled cheese on our menu in the near future!
