Easy Tip #3 – Add Healthy Protein to Make it a Meal
When I am building the best yogurt bowl, I want to make sure I am not hungry an hour later. Adding a handful of raw nuts adds filling protein while providing a delicious crunch. My go-to choices are almonds, pecans, pistachios or walnuts and all taste great with fruit and yogurt. A blend of nuts is fine; I am more of a one-at-a-time type of nut eater. Not in the mood for a crunch? Consider grinding your nuts for a softer topping. I love adding pretty ground pistachios spreading around the delicate flavor.

Adding protein rich quinoa or couscous is another delicious way to build the best yogurt bowl. Granola is a tempting toping for a delicious fruit and nut bowl. If you do add granola, be careful and check to be sure there are not hidden sugars and preservatives. Using Olive Sunshine’s healthy granola cluster recipe is an option but please omit tip #4 and #5 as both ingredients are included in the granola! I typically add one-fourth a cup of protein to my bowl.
